These Terms and Conditions apply when you use www.discoverypisa.com or book a tour or experience offered under the Discovery Pisa brand. Please read them before booking.
Discovery Pisa is a trading brand, not a separate company. It is jointly operated by two independent Italian professionals:
Andrea Dominguez Maraver
Via Contessa Matilde 64 D
56123 Pisa (PI), Italy
VAT number: IT02176310502
National Register of Tourist Guides (ENGT): 09001467
Anastasia Sierp
Via Ranieri Galletti 11 B
56122 Pisa (PI), Italy
VAT number: IT03735650792
National Register of Tourist Guides (ENGT): 09001164
In these Terms, “Discovery Pisa”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Andrea and Anastasia in their operation of the Discovery Pisa brand. A tour may be led by either of them or by another appropriately qualified guide working with Discovery Pisa.
You can contact us at info@discoverypisa.com or +39 351 542 5848.
Your booking contract consists of:
– the tour description, inclusions, price and practical information shown before purchase;
– your booking confirmation;
– these Terms and Conditions; and
– our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
If a clearly disclosed product-specific condition conflicts with a general provision in these Terms, the product-specific condition applies to that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
If you book through an online travel agency, reseller, hotel, travel adviser or other third party, that party’s booking and payment terms may also apply. Requests concerning payment, cancellation or refunds may need to be submitted through the platform used to book.
Tour availability is limited. A booking is confirmed only when payment or any required deposit has been accepted and a booking confirmation has been issued.
Please check the tour, date, start time, language, number and ages of participants, ticket options, meeting point and contact details before completing payment. You must provide accurate information and promptly tell us if any booking information is incorrect.
The person making the booking confirms that they are at least 18 years old, are authorised to book for everyone named or included in the booking, and will make these Terms and all relevant tour information available to the group.
Online booking normally closes 3 hours before a public tour and 10 hours before a private tour. A tour may close earlier when it is full, when admission tickets are no longer available or for operational reasons. Contacting us after online booking closes does not guarantee availability.
The total price and currency are displayed before you place the order. The final checkout total includes mandatory taxes and booking charges that we are required to include. Optional extras are charged only when you select them.
Payment is processed securely through FareHarbor and its payment providers. Discovery Pisa does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Prices may change before booking. Once your booking is confirmed, its price will not change unless you request an amendment that changes the service or an obvious pricing error makes fulfilment unreasonable. If an obvious error affects a confirmed booking, we will contact you promptly and offer the correct price or a full refund.
Your confirmation and the applicable tour page state what is included, such as guiding, admission tickets, tastings or other services. Anything not expressly listed as included is excluded.
Admission tickets may be timed, named, non-transferable or subject to rules imposed by the attraction. Where a participant’s name, age or other information is required for a ticket, you are responsible for providing it accurately and on time. We are not responsible for refusal of entry caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer or failure to comply with an attraction’s published rules.
Photographs and descriptions on the website illustrate the experience but do not guarantee particular weather, crowd levels, views, food items, guides or access conditions.
If you want to change the date, time, language, participant details or another part of your booking, contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and any restrictions applying to admission tickets or third-party services.
Requests to move a booking to another date must be made before the applicable free-cancellation deadline: at least 24 hours before a public tour or at least 48 hours before a private tour. A requested change is not confirmed until we confirm it in writing. A price difference may apply, but we will tell you before completing the change.
If a requested change cannot be accommodated, the original booking remains valid unless you cancel it under our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Our complete cancellation rules are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
In summary:
– Public tours: cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled start for a full refund.
– Private tours: cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled start for a full refund.
– Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable, unless mandatory law or a more favourable condition shown at booking applies.
The deadlines are calculated using local time in Pisa, Italy.
Tour and leisure services booked for a specific date or period do not carry the general 14-day withdrawal right under Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code. The cancellation rights above are contractual rights offered by Discovery Pisa.
Please arrive at the meeting point by the time stated in your booking confirmation. Allow sufficient time for transport, parking, security checks and finding the meeting point.
Public tours must start on time for the benefit of the group and to meet timed-entry reservations. If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee that you can join the tour. A late arrival or missed departure is treated as a no-show and is normally non-refundable.
If you expect to be late, contact us immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to help, but cannot delay the group, change attraction entry times or guarantee an alternative meeting point.
You and everyone in your booking must:
– follow reasonable instructions from the guide and attraction staff;
– comply with local law, safety rules, security checks and dress requirements;
– behave respectfully towards guides, other guests, local residents and businesses;
– take reasonable care of personal belongings; and
– ensure that the selected tour is suitable for your group’s abilities and needs.
We may refuse or end a person’s participation where their conduct is unsafe, unlawful, abusive, seriously disruptive or likely to harm another person or property. No refund is due where participation is refused or ended for such conduct.
Children and other minors must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult unless a tour description expressly says otherwise. Any age restriction shown for an attraction or ticket must be followed.
Tour routes and historic attractions can involve walking, uneven surfaces, steps, security restrictions and areas that are not fully accessible. Please review the tour description and contact us before booking if a participant has reduced mobility, an accessibility requirement or another need that may affect participation.
For food or drink experiences, tell us about allergies and dietary requirements before the tour. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment where food is prepared or supplied by third parties.
You remain responsible for deciding whether participation is appropriate for you. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
We may make reasonable changes to a route, sequence, meeting arrangements, guide or included venue where necessary because of closures, religious services, strikes, security measures, dangerous weather, transport disruption, ticketing restrictions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If the essential character of the booked experience can still be provided, we may offer a suitable alternative. If a material part cannot be provided and no reasonable alternative is available, we will offer an appropriate partial refund, rescheduling or cancellation, taking account of the part of the service affected.
If we cancel the entire tour, you may choose between an available replacement date and a full refund of the amount paid to us for that booking. We are not responsible for separate travel, accommodation or other arrangements that you booked independently, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Tours normally operate in rain and ordinary weather conditions. A customer’s decision not to attend because of weather is governed by the standard cancellation deadlines unless we cancel or materially change the tour.
Neither party is responsible for a failure or delay caused by events that could not reasonably have been prevented or overcome, including serious weather, natural disasters, public-authority measures, sudden monument closures, strikes, civil disturbance, epidemics or major transport disruption.
We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of such an event and will apply the remedies described in section 11 where the booked service cannot be provided. This section does not remove any non-excludable consumer right.
We will provide the booked service with reasonable professional care and skill. If we fail to do so, you may have remedies under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
– loss or damage caused by your failure to follow these Terms or reasonable instructions;
– missed tours or entry times caused by your late arrival or independent travel arrangements;
– loss of or damage to unattended personal belongings;
– services separately contracted with an unrelated third party; or
– losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
We recommend appropriate travel insurance covering cancellation, medical needs, personal belongings and disruption.

If something is wrong during your tour, please tell the guide as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to help. You may also contact info@discoverypisa.com, including your booking number and a clear description of the issue.
We will review complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable time. Contacting us first does not restrict your right to use any remedy, authority or court available under applicable law.
These Terms and bookings made directly with Discovery Pisa are governed by Italian law.
If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of the country in which you habitually reside. You may bring proceedings in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer-protection and private-international-law rules, including the courts of your place of residence where those rules provide.
We may update these Terms for future website use and bookings. The version applying to a booking is the version made available when that booking was completed, unless a later change is required by law or expressly accepted by you.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
