Tour Overview

Forget restaurant menus — tonight, you’ll be your own chef.
This private cooking class in Pisa takes place inside the Royal Victoria Hotel, a living piece of history overlooking the Arno River. Guided by a local chef, you’ll learn the ancient art of Tuscan pasta making: mixing, kneading, filling, and shaping your own creations.

Once the hard work is done, it’s time to enjoy your homemade dishes — tagliatelle and tortellini — in a warm, authentic atmosphere. Pair it with a glass of wine and you’ve got yourself a true Italian cooking experience in Pisa.

(If you love food experiences, don’t miss our Taste of Pisa food tour and Mozzarella Experience — both perfect companions to this class.)

Learn from a Local Chef

Your instructor isn’t just a chef — they’re a storyteller of Tuscan flavors. You’ll discover how flour, eggs, and a bit of patience turn into ribbons of handmade tagliatelle or perfect tortellini filled with seasonal ingredients.

Cook Inside a Historic Hotel

The Royal Victoria Hotel is more than a venue — it’s a slice of Pisan history. As your dough rests, look around: frescoed ceilings, ancient floors, and windows facing the river make this cooking class in Pisa city center a one-of-a-kind experience.

Make Two Types of Fresh Pasta

Under the chef’s guidance, you’ll prepare two traditional dishes: tortellini with a creamy filling and hand-cut tagliatelle. This hands-on cooking class ensures you’ll learn by doing — and laughing.

Enjoy Your Homemade Tuscan Meal

Sit back, relax, and taste the fruits of your labor. Your handmade pasta is served as a full meal with wine, dessert, and stories. No rush — Italians know that food tastes better when shared slowly.

A Private Experience Just for You

  • “Thanks to DiscoveryPisa for accommodating my schedule and working around my other tour for the day. I had a wonderful 2 hour tour of the Piazza del Duomo in Pisa with Andrea. We began with the Baptistry. The acoustics were amazing. I was able to climb the stairs to the upper level. The next stop was the cathedral and then finally the cemetery. I was assured that much work had been done on the leaning tower to balance it and prevent it from falling in the past decades. As mentioned before, Andrea was incredibly knowledgeable, noting all of the important period styles included at different stages of construction.”

  • “We had a great guided tour. The meeting spot was accurately described and our tour guide was easy to find. Anastasia was great!! She had a lot of interesting facts and stories which really added to the experience. The tour was timely and we had time to take some photos prior to entering the leaning tower. I would recommend this tour as an interesting and great way to see the main sites of Miracle Square in Pisa!”

  • “Fabulous tour of Pisa and all of its treasures with a great informative and enthusiastic guide. Ticket included all entries to mayor attractions but the trip to the top of the Pisa of tower was the highlight.”
